Cool Free/Indy/Experimental Vst Stuff
I thought this would be a great place to list interesting free/experimental vst`s.
Don`t list all the normal freebies that everyone knows about, just the new/different/innovative or special stuff.
I dig around a lot searching for cutting edge/weird/indy plugins and there are some amazing things out there.
Most of it occurs in windows land so mac users
So list your free or indy stuff here.
Here is a few I have grabbed recently.

My distortion obsession is endless and voracious. This is another lovely organic distortion with a unique sound.

A bit crusher that works in a different way to the majority and so has a different sort of tone.
I`ll add more as I go through my recent finds

http://www.dynamictonality.com/xronomorph.htm this little sequencer is quite fun and can load Vst instruments.
Their Hex sequencer looks quite interesting as well.

I've had a bit of fun with this free Speak and Spell VST, you can make some really wacky sounds if you are creative with the parameters.

Saw this on Reddit, haven't given it a try yet though. Filterbank with UI based on the Sherman Filterbank although apparently the sound isn't completly faithful to the hardware.

cycling through this found Crystal vst. Such a great synth from back in the day. Remember generating some very unique textures out of this one. Thanks for the link!Constructs wrote:I've had a bit of fun with this free Speak and Spell VST, you can make some really wacky sounds if you are creative with the parameters.

JBridge bitch
Re: Cool Free/Indy/Experimental Vst Stuff
These are pretty sweet, recently got their 'Cruelle' distortion plugin, it's a combination of distortion and AM, really liking it so far. The presets suck though, I have the feeling the dev just hits the random button and then saves the result, but it's easy enough to tweak. I think the same guy also programmed the plugins found on glitchmachines.com, they have a similar sound to them. Some nice bits on there too.Huck Farper wrote:whole list of interesting free plugs here, Gorgon is a whacky distortion;

And some other freeware stuff I've rediscovered recently is by ArcDev, the name is most probably derived from Arcane Device which is what peaked my interest after seeing it sitting there in my plugins folder. It's (very) old x86 stuff, and probably made with synthedit but that stuff really does its name justice, that guy really made some insane fx units. Well worth the hassle if you're able find it.
how far do you want to go

Generative sequencer. Only for those with M4L, also works without Push/launchpad.
