Fabric Shut (for now...)
Due to fucking dumb as shit drug laws, 2 more poor bastards have died (18), and Fabric has had to close for 'this weekend'. Will it reopen?
https://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=35935
Bollocks.
The Government create a situation where they increase all the risks of drug taking, and when people die due to those risks, they blame the club.
What a load of shit all these fucking drug laws.

Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
I keep hearing that everything is getting stronger again. It's time for legalization and regulation so people know what they are taking.

In the hands of seasoned users, these could be considered good value for money. In the hands of inexperienced users, or even seasoned heads who get a bit carried away, these are death pills. I barely take them anymore, but when I do I am very wary as the strength/content vary so widely. Entirely as a result of the stupid fucking drug laws. They would have us believe that the stupid fucking drug laws are for our own safety which is the ultimate piss take.

When they made drug testing kits illegal in this country way back, thats when I realised that the law was not about saving lives.

That's just asking for trouble right there...
People shouldn't be selling that stuff in the first place.
It would not be the 1st time that a batch was taken out of rotation because it eventually got considered to be too dangerous.
Professional folks in that business do not want to take unnecessary risks, ever.
On the other hand, 80 to 100mg = "normal", as they say in some of these articles.
Yeah yeah, good for the virgin hipsters or something...
not for the "seasoned heads".

why did they make that illegal ?Lost to the Void wrote:When they made drug testing kits illegal in this country way back, thats when I realised that the law was not about saving lives.
I mean, what would be the arguments for that ?
afaik they are perfectly legal over here,
but I don't think these things are used a lot.

I think the reasoning at the time was that being able to test pills would encourage drug use.
It was fucking stupid.
Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
I don't know what more the police expect from Fabric though, they already have a strict search policy but at the end of the day it'll always be easy to avoid by just dropping a baggie down your trousers for a few minutes. There's not a lot you can do about that unless you start strip searching people.
WHP has been allowed to run a pill testing scheme since late 2013 and there hasn't been a single fatality since...
How many more people need to die before they deem it acceptable to do the same at fabric?
smh

That spoof site annoys me. Purely designed to survive on fabricated stories.

Just got back from Boomtown and an 18 year old female died there yesterday.
The cause of death hasn't been confirmed as drugs but I would be highly surprised if it wasn't.
The weather was boiling and you just need to be careful, regardless of how long you have been at the game. A 45 year old died there a few years ago. Age really means nothing.

Not sure if you read my original post (which I changed a day later because yeah, this is the internet and blablabla).
In short : I saw 2 people I know well go rather freaky on 280, so 400 is most definitely extremely dangerous.
Also, another thing people should consider, is taking half, then waiting for 1,5 to 2 hours, and only then taking another half.
It's a very simple rule that could help folks from getting into trouble if they have no clue what they're popping into their bodies.
It's not a guarantee, but it could help.

Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
Its getting ridiculous now didn't want to appear insensitive, genuinely does make me feel sad seeing all this the only answer is proper access to lab testing here, everything else is pure guesswork. Pills where half would floor an experienced user is just ridiculous.
Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
It's another great sadness for London. Hospital record followers will have to find another avenue for their their nocturbulous activities. Perhaps the waiting room just off Gower Street will aid the adjustment. As for nocturbulous activities I haven't heard anything new by The SK for years.

Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
Jesus. I couldn't finish it. There are one or two good points hiding in there somewhere, but theyre almost entirely obscured by his hyperbole and ludicrous comparisons. Hillsborough and the Stephen Lawrence case are examples of the worst kind of police behaviour and shouldn't be ignored or forgotten, but they have got utterly fuck all to do with Fabric and its closure.
Re: Fabric Shut (for now...)
It's open again. All got sorted out. Fair play.
