Abelton Loop | Overcoming creative blocks

Post by Alume »

Just scrolling through Abletons vids and found this interesting talk about things we all deal with as music makers.

If you're hungover, have the time, whatever.. Sit back and enjoy some different inputs.

btw, do we have a inspirational media topic kind of thing?

watched this a few months ago, I found the Dennis DeSantis guy a little annoying though.

I'm going to Loop this year btw.
Anyone else here going ?

well, better work on my hipster outfit then from now on. 8-)

honestly, I'm not going there to watch the crowd.
just in the hopes of learning a few things and making a few contacts left or right.

I look at it as some sort of RBMA light thing,
but I have no idea what to expect.
If the hipsters get too much, I'm counting on you to give me some antidote on my time off... 8-)

but you are the one always saying you don't understand what people mean when they use the word "hipsters" Stace ! ;)

I think Mono might be better to ask for advice.

Unfortunately not, little Mono had a heavy ear infection (he is still suffering but getting better every day) and we had to visit the hospital in the night.

But he's already a little older, no ?
otherwise if kids have regularly returning ear infections,
it helps a lot to have little tubes installed in their ears.
My oldest had this done when she was like 1,5 years old or something, and it was night and day difference.

He's 6 and a half already. Even the doctor said that was a really really heavy infection. Breaks your heart when the kid is crying in pain and you can't do much. Horrible.

yeah, 6,5 is too old for tubes.

My youngest turned 5 a few weeks ago, and got stuck with her knee in one of our chairs in the dining room last night.
We tried everything for like 10 to 15 minutes, and just couldn't get her out, while she was just crying more and more,
and even my oldest was starting to panic.
Just when I was going to fetch my electrical saw (not even enough room for a hand saw) to cut the wood, she somehow got out.

pfff, if I think how I was gonna be forced to use that dangerous electrical at just a few inches away from my kid...
I hope she learned to sit down on a chair normally now.
