I'd be pretty much ok with a DJ wearing a gas mask playing some Porc Trax or whatever but the reality is much more sad.

No to play porc trax the appropriate outfit would be a filing clerk or librarian.
Re: DJs who actually wear a gas mask
Could be super sensitive to smoke machines, super ugly or hiding some mad burn. Or all of the above.
Joking there of course, but regardless, who cares what he wears as long as he's having fun, live and let live.

The world is already overpopulated.SixOfOne wrote: live and let live.
We can afford to cull a few of the gas mask squad and not even make a difference to the inevitable running out of resources and global climate change and inevitable resource wars that lead to a wonderful Mad Max world, which, I might add, you would then be justified in wearing a gask mask because then it would be awesome.

Re: DJs who actually wear a gas mask
I find it mildly amusing, the attempt at being cool or retaining some sort of mild anonymity these days with mouse heads and space helmets and the like. It's a fanciful idea but in reality when people find out your some skinny white dude with a coke problem and no real friends...
Has that ship sailed or is it yet another cyclic r-evolution, that Mother Earth shits out a chosen 1 every 5 years. Though I do feel that over saturation is so rife that people are willing to cut off a bollock in front of a crowd to get a leg up

Re: DJs who actually wear a gas mask
ow man, that video got posted on here before, I think it was Steve who posted it, not sure...
my oldest daughter came asking me a few days ago :
"daddy, didn't you tell me all Goths are really friendly and usually like children ??"
"urmm, yeah, I guess so, not so sure about the children part, but they are most definitely very kind and gentle people to deal with, absolutely !!"
so I started to wonder what made her ask me that, totally out of the blue,
and when she took a bathroom break and left the book she was reading on the bed,
I briefly browsed through the last few pages.
Fucking Amika's nemesis, called Marie-Claire or something,
tried to seduce their mutual love-interest by dressing up with a black wig and black nails,
trying very hard to imitate Amy Winehouse, because he really liked Amy Winehouse...
When she got back, I did take out a minute or two of my time to explain that,
even though no doubt the Goth scene must have changed since I was an active Gothic loser 20+ years ago,
I was very sure that Amy Winehouse would most definitely not be considered "gothic" by the usual underground gothic scene...
