Re: studio monitors
Yeah, great for pointing it out WOLF!
Lots of disinformation out there. Research and don't rush it.

Re: studio monitors
It actualy took ages to gather the information because of all that disinformation on the internet.
Also keep in mind that DIY takes a lot of time (but far less money)!
I think a lot of these projects never get finished.

Re: studio monitors
Thank you all very much for all the information from the last days!
I'm gonna treat my room first and later on save up for some real high end monitors like the neumann's 310's.

you can't use that school excuse all the time...
If anything, I think a visit here might save you time you might have used otherwise to read up on all those articles everywhere on the internet.
The theory is one thing, but it helps a lot to hear it in practice.

Re: studio monitors
btw, now that I think of it :
it might be a good idea to have a certain idea of at what volume you usually work.
This might sound stupid, but yeah, some frequencies might be pretty fine at lover volumes in your room,
but might cause a hell more problems at higher volumes,
especially in the lower part of the spectrum.
So if you wanna test your room, make sure you test it at the volume you (approx.) usually work at.
