Re: Unknown Frequencies
Like it.
The synth line that comes in sort of halfway adds a nice touch.
I'm not an expert on dub techno (or anything really), but two things stand out in terms of the mix. The highs are a bit too present, bordering on harsh. Is there some overdrive added or something. The second was the bass. The kick is really light, so I was expecting a little more weight from the bassline. But then again this could be a style thing.

Re: Unknown Frequencies
Thanks for the feedback, there's a bit of overdrive on the synth yeah. About the kick yeah it might be a bit low yeah and on my soundsystem (not the best setup) the bass is loud enouth. Any other remarks on the mix from other people are welcome
Re: Unknown Frequencies
I agree with jordanneke. However, I don't think the highs are necessarily too sharp, they're just a bit too loud compared to the low end. Bring the kick up a few db and you should be good.
Re: Unknown Frequencies
sounds great but yes a bit top heavy on my monitors
Re: Unknown Frequencies
I think the synth chord sounds are way too harsh sounding, especially for dub techno. I had to turn down the volume on my headphones, which isn't a good sign.
What synth did you use for those?

Is there such thing as dub techno? I can't really comment here because this type of techno isn't techno to me and very slow and boring but that is just my attitude towards this type of sound not your work.
Re: Unknown Frequencies
Yes dub techno exists. There's life outside the banging club tracks.bergertron wrote:Is there such thing as dub techno? I can't really comment here because this type of techno isn't techno to me and very slow and boring but that is just my attitude towards this type of sound not your work.

Re: Unknown Frequencies
Well to me dub techno is techno (repetitive music, texture approach of music, classic 4/4 beat) with a lot af reverb and delay + Nice bass line BTW i'm a really recent producer of "Techno" i didn't even listen techno in my everyday life. Dub Techno is to me a more ambient and interesting approach of dance music that i recently discover and happen to enjoybergertron wrote:Is there such thing as dub techno?
