Cross Fader Midi Controller

Post by bergertron »

Anyone know of any midi controllers which has a good cross fader. I am only interested in a crossfader so even if there is something out there that is just a usb crossfader .

I like smooth crossfaders like the DJM600 ones not does stiff horrible ones.

Cheers

Wow that's a pretty odd device. A crossfader in your pocket lol. Never seen only a crossfader with nothing else... well besides that.

The ones I know of are Presonus Faderport, not super cheap but it's also not very expensive for what you get. Fader with a motor and several other nice functions. https://www.presonus.com/products/FaderPort

And M-Audio X Session

Cheapest I know of is the Korg Nanokontrols which you can find for like 20 used. They are actually pretty decent and small as long as you get the 2nd gen where they fixed some physical issues.

I like loose faders also and have considered building one that's nothing but 8 crossfaders and a few bank select buttons.
Have you looked into http://lividinstruments.com/products/builder/?

This looks good but I have so many normal faders and knobs already. looking for something way more minimal.
Thanks

Played around with one in the store, felt too flimsy to want it. Don't think it would last long.

Would like a crossfader as with my non-vinyl / mixer setup its something I am missing that I was use to.

I have one of these along with other stuff but not sure why they couldn't put a cross fader on this for DJS

The old novation nocturn, used to use that to control ableton with 2 cdjs connected was pretty fun actually.

you might consider making your own...

http://djtechtools.com/2015/08/25/how-t ... ontroller/

For a crossfader you are gonna want a good fader that can last forever... and has good play...

No interest in making one. I can do with out or use a vertical one from my controller.
