Don't panic! I'm not the type to jump into anything extreme.
Will watch it just to see what the story is.
I have a couple of friends who are physios so should prob get their opinions on things more often.
I don't need to lose weight or anything (been around 10st for about 20 years now) just looking for some more info from people on here who might be more into it.

My main concern would be general fitness, having more energy, sleeping better, in other words not feeling so fucked every time I do anything remotely physical! :) ..

Guess it's just basic things that you're always told; everything in moderation and regular exercise but I'm the type that needs to know why I'm doing something before I'll do it...

Just pick a routine/exercise/sport, Surface, stick with it past the intiail brickwall that always comes when you start and then learn stuff as you begin to enjoy it (it does happen, honestly). I dont think you can really go wrong with something like swimmming.

You need to join a gym with more women ;)
I've been to 3 of them over the last 15 years.
the 2nd one was during my univ years, and admittedly had the most young women members of the 3 gyms I've ever been to,
I'm still pretty sure this won't make up for all the boring hours though...

I mean, the women that "seriously" go to a gym are probably even worse than the men that "seriously" go to a gym.
I just can't help it, I guess my dick is just too intelligent, even if I know that sounds like a contradictio in terminis

You know, those moments when you can feel women stare at your body ?
(well, I'm pretty sure Planar knows, but for everyone else reading this : if you don't know those moments, you just need to go to the gym more, sorry)
that's the moments when you get to know what it must feel like if men are just plainly staring at your tits and/or ass when you're a woman.
and to be honest : as flattering as it sometimes can feel like, it still feels wrong in a certain way... :|

this morning has been the first day in months where I actually felt like going to the gym again.
but I was working on a track... :D

maybe tomorrow...

I just went by the gym today, not even having my sports gear with me, just dropping by after having walked the kids to school, just to ask if I still had a valuable pass. :D

man man man, this girl, not even remotely good-looking (not that it matters or that I really care),
getting the tour of the gym from the owner,
while mr "gym+funky hairdo+tattoes-is-my-life", following them around everywhere,
always giving extra "tips" on how to do it "even better".

admittedly, that guy definitely is one of the worst there,
but my God, not exactly a motivating sight, to be honest.
to think that's gonna be the people I gotta see again...

If you don't like gyms find something you like and enjoy :) I couldn't think of anything worse than going to a gym *shudders*

ok, finally, after almost 6 months of barely doing some form of exercise (running, badminton,...) maybe 4x in total.
I went back to the stupid old boring gym.
it was quiet and the crowd was ok, and I'm fucking glad I went cause I really needed to restart doing some sports,

but a few days ago I saw this video, and I laughed my ass off,
so, so sooo true :

I'm just happy my gym is usually quite ok, but on any given day, you can still find one or more of these different lifeforms there... :?

I used to hammer the gym and cardiovascular at my peak easy 4 gym sessions, four football a week. Done boxing, martial arts allsorts. I'd still do it now if I had loads more time. I still excersize for an hour about 4-5 times a week just more running, martial arts and a bit of circuit training. When I'm fitter everything else works better. I wish I didn't eat so much crap but I don't know that's the trade off I guess. Regular excersize and good diet you can get in shape easy if you aren't too far away from a healthy weight. I put on loads after a leg break and it was very hard shifting 5 stones but did it mostly with good diet and modest excersize.

By good diet I mean slightly less than 2000 calories a day, fresh produce etc. Work that out and it's a piece of piss. Alcohol is bad as well as other drinks for the hidden calories and sugars.
