Nick Jackson - Age
Hey
Not posted for a while, sorry. Here's a track I made recently about getting old.

Re: Nick Jackson - Age
It COULD be the menacing lead synth symbolises my ever nearing death.
It COULD be the crackling percussion represents the onset of arthritis.
It COULD be that the pad is my way of representing the early stages of dementia.
It COULD be that you're not the stupid one in this conversation
It COULD be that it's not you that's the stupid one in this conversation.
It COULD be that I've been listening to a lot of Thomas Heckmann tracks lately.
It COULD be that I've been trying to shoehorn more concept into my tracks in an attempt to keep me interested and put some boundaries and regulations on my sound design.
It COULD be that it misfired this time.
I forgot to mention in the opening post. Any feedback VERY GRATEFULLY received

Ahaa, ok. Will listen it again and make a more constructive comment. I just wanted you to explain the idea behind the track. I like it when people try to make a conceptual piece but just like an abstract painting in a museum I need that little plaquette on the right for explanation otherwise it's just a colored canvas. Although I have to say that I wonder if this dancefloor kinda techno is a suitable medium to communicate such a heavy concept.
Just out of curiosity, no answer required... Do you suffer from the illnesses you're describing? I sincerely hope not!

My joints do click a bit but I'm ok, thanks for asking
I think the conceptual approach might have worked better with this:

You started the track with this "getting old" concept in mind or it came later?

I don't get the reference with aging AT ALL, sorry.
It's a nice track though, funky.
Only thing that i would do is lower the volume or filter the distorted snares as they're a bit harsh compared to the rest.
