Would the smoke of incense be harmfull for my gear like cigarette?

I never have smoke in the studio, I rarely smoke a joint while producing.

Though I'd like to burn some of that incense stuff..

Any ideas?

Well, I always thought I should avoid it, until I saw how much incense steve vai burns in his studio, the fucking hippy that he is, and he has outrageous amounts of class A gear, and it doesn't bother the gear.
Just dust regularly.

I think you are vastly overreacting. (Apart from the fact that vai has stuff he has had all his career in his studio)

I've been a god damn hippy in my studio for well, at least 20 years, I've never had a machine go kaput on me, and I've been burning incense for years, and back when I used to smoke spliffs like I was trying to eliminate the plant from existence, entering the studio was like being hotboxed. (None of that any more) Even my reel to reels were fine, though General wear and tear in the old fucks means constant maintenance, so the things were always getting taken a part, and you know what? No carbon build up.
You just have to dust and clean regularly, luckily my missus is a clean freak and dusts and hovers all the time, and so, no problems.
That's not to say you should burn incense right on your fader matrix on the desk.....

i HATE spilling coffee in the studio. once i dropped a whole french press full of coffee and it smashed everywhere. glass and coffee e v e r y w h e r e. and i was denied what would have been an excellent beverage. it was a sad day.
