The Boss DM and Roland DC ranges are very very nice but they tend to go for more then €150.

@OHADOHAD
d1500 is nice, have one, but it's very digital. I'd say the re-20 is a better unit.

I bought a 70s analog mini rack(-ish) delay on ebay for about £40, Evans MX-99 mini echo. There are some going for reasonable prices if you keep your eye on ebay. Also remember to search for things like "echo" instead of delay, and as per msl make names such as Monacor, Evans, Echopet, etc.

The only video I found is a circuitbenders one where they modded it, so that's always an option if I get bored of it.

Hi,

I have an Ibanez Dm 1000 rack from the 80ies delay which is quite cool, because of it´s modulation effects and hodl function. Anyhow my question is, could it be normal that the mix out only is mono (there is only signal on the left side of my earphones) or is it broken? Maybe someone can help... peace

I don't think it's broken. I think the issue is that only the connector to the left hand headphone on the headphone jack is making contact with the socket on the delay. You need to use the delay as a mono source (ie signal and ground only) rather than trying to connect a stereo source to it and / or listen to its output through a stereo source.

I was just about to post that the last 2 for the time being are available (received a news letter yesterday), but they're sold out already (within 24 hours), yes, they are rare... you'll have to be very lucky to get one on ebay now and I wouldn't be surprised if they go for the original price if not more!

Btw I sold my other ones and settled on the Ibanez ES2 I like the fader and wanted pedal format for space reasons. Sounds decent enough only pain is there's no power switch...

Strymon DIG dual delay sounding pretty sweet. Under £250.

Old topic, but still on my mind.

Just getting my studio back together, bought a second hand Akai Headrush E2 yesterday... Not the most versatile delay in terms of sound tweaking, but it has 5 outputs (one for master, and 4 for separate delay "heads") allowing for some crazy pedal routing. Can't wait to get my hands on it, I am thinking a cheap delay/reverb on each of the head outputs, should make for some interesting results!

I've got an El Cap as well. I like it for what it is but I can't get enough gain out of it. Unfortunately no room for my mixer at this space, so I have it set up as an insert on the Monologue, which is OK, but I want it on a send. I think it's a great piece of gear for performance, where I wouldn't want to take an actual tape delay.

I am going to get an RE-201 one of these days. I want real tape.

To follow up though, I really want to get another delay pedal that isn't specifically tape. Either a Timeline or Timefactor, for more variety of delay.

For me it would be the BBE Two Timer Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal. Love the plugin, would like to own the real deal :). Use it quite often due to it's versitile options, being able to switch between 2 delay modes:). It's around 70 euro.
