Zich overdreven volgieten met ons fantastisch levensvocht is eerder iets wat ik de Engelsen zie doen

1e keer dat ik ooit Rochefort dronk was een jaar of 7 terug.
ik bel een kameraad op, en die blijkt in de Ardennen te zitten "kom toch af"
dus ikke 15 boemeltreinen nemen om in het boeregat te raken waar hij zit,
ganse namiddag op terras gezeten in het zonnetje, en hij stelt me voor om eens "Rochefort" te proberen ("je zal dat wel lekker vinden")
5 rochefort 8's en daarna 2 rochefort 10's,
daarna nog een fikse wandeling en een fles rode wijn tijdens een spelletje petanque op het perron van het lokale stationnetje,
daarna nog een klein uurtje een berg opwandelen om onze slaapplek te bereiken...
Niet ziek geworden (klein mirakel, neen, groots mirakel), maar man man man, wat een nadorst de ganse nacht !!
Wel gigantisch gelachen, dat wel.
NOOIT meer dan 2 à maximum 3 rocheforts drinken !
En ik ben genetisch gezien dan nog 50% West-vleterenaar van bloed.

pff, not sure about lowest number of English speaking people.
but we never took a hotel, just stayed with local people who rented out rooms,
I suspect if you stay in the hotels they all speak some English,
but then you NEVER get to see Cuba like it really is.
Educational system and heatlh system are superb, but the people don't have anything.
Totally different version of communism than what I saw as a kid in some Eastern European countries.
Every evening we could choose only 1 out 4 options for dinner: langoustine, chicken, fish fillet or (forgot the 4th option).
All the good food went straight to the hotels for the tourists, even finding a decently sized clove of garlic on a local market proved impossible.
I really hope for the Cubans things will change in the future, but I suspect it's gonna need at least another 20 years with all the corruption and shit.

really liked teller and especially bellows, but both could do with a better mix, gets way too muddy at times which is a shame cause the focus then only stays on the main sounds and you can barely hear some of the great little stuff going on here and there.
