ow god,
I was once (a long long time ago) 19 years old and having a walk around Essex, Ontario with my then 16 years old Canadian cousin.
My hair was (back then) almost shoulder long and all curly (girls fucking loved it).
All of a sudden some car drives by and some stupid guys yell "HEY HAIRBALL !!"
I was pissed off, but my cousin just looked at me completely undisturbed and said : "dude, consider the source !"

I remembered that sound advice for the rest of my life ! :D

fuck these idiots who suck at making tracks or being creative in general,
so all they do is make stupid boring loops and/or sounds and sell them for way too much money to douchebags who are incapable of making their own loops/sounds.
That's the source we're talking about here in your situation.

but I was finishing a track, damn it !
Haha good story.

Awwww don't do a loop pack man, you are just helping perpetuate lazy producers if you do that.
It's a step away from going round and making the music for them.

Great samples use them on almost every track since I bought them, great tone and dirt in them.

Agreed on the loops, the world does not need more loop packs!

I'm humbled I get so much compliments about these samples, much obliged!

The follow up is also on its way. But before that a loop package will appear, not very interesting for Subsekt member I reckon but I got tons of requests to make a loop
package with tool style techno for some reason, can't miss the opportunity!

edit; Not everything is a compliment by the way! I got some angry complaints from other people doing samples I sold them too cheap. :|
Don't worry about it Sir, you have the power to do whatever you want with them.
I can't say it enough, you are a great inspiration for us all

ow no, it's not a good story, it's just another rambling post of mine, but I remembered the important part :
consider the source.

btw : am I the only one here to say I did get your first embryo thingy pack, and I don't think I ever used a single sample from it ?
I feel bad now, but I'm just being honest, and all those others just wanna be banged by you in the man-train, it's plain obvious. ;)

thought I had it finished,
now keep going back for final changes.
won't be for today, but normally by tomorrow it should be finished,
it's only a matter of small details and me being the ever perfectionist.
not enough time to finish it tonight.

should be up there tomorrow though.

Same here basically. After some time of thinking I just came to the conclusion I might as well do one either way for three reasons;
One being there are so many shitty loop libraries out there that doesn't promise what they sell (check Beatport sounds!), second many have asked for it and third I figure what the hell why not? Doesn't hurt to try, it also might be able to put a few plates on the table so I can keep living on what I like doing most without whoring too much (if now making a proper loop package can be considered whoring haha). Hopefully it'll serve as a decent transition till next one-shot pack is done.

ok, from now on it's carved into stone : Mattias has become a techno whore.
He'll be releasing those loops, and in 3 months from now we'll see him in a new video with Gedda and Tiesto munching whatever the fuck they were munching there while talking about Vegas, and Mattias is just waiting for the right moment to smash his MS2000 into their hollow skulls.
It's a plan as good as any other !

dude, if all it takes to keep the plates on the table is making some loops, I'd go and make 500.000 loops,
it certainly beats having to serve dumb selfish unpatient lobotomized dickheads with unurgent problems who are probaby too stupid to tie their own shoelaces,
just to keep enough plates on the table.
I can guarantee you it ain't fun no more !! (wanna swap for a month or 267 ??)

whenever I can finally leave that job behind, I've sworn to write some stand-up show or squetch act (genre the fast show) about dispatching.
I swear I can give stories for hours and hours and hours.
And people would watch it, and just laugh, not even realizing they are the same dumb stupid people that call me up for their shitty tiny-ass problems.

I'd like to go for a brighter note and say "gee, isn't the weather lovely outside ?" but all I see is 50 shades of fucking grey.
but, nonetheless, my track that I considered already finished is getting even more finished inbetween rambling and having to serve my women.
and I have learned a lot in the process, so at least that's definitely a highlight. :)
but I gotta go pick up little dictator nr 2 from school now while further nurturing little dictator nr 1 untill the Full Grown Dictator comes home from work.

ain't I the rock 'n roll techno hero producer ??!!!

I've had some companies contact me to make some samples and loops for them, pretty bad deals to be honest. The way I make it now via Bandcamp is more convenient or me.
When the right deals jumps on me I strike.
I made a sample pack a loooong time ago for for a pretty well known (back in the day) UK based sample retailer, which was a nightmare, 2 years bound by contract and all. Stuff like that are easier now though.

On that note, the pimp whore loop pack is out ;) https://mfsamples.bandcamp.com/album/mf ... techno-kit

Yeah, i've been getting those inquiries every now and then, too. Bad deals, strange names, stuff like that. Found much joy releasing that samplepack years ago on my own. So i know what you mean.

Crossing fingers for your sales! You're not worried by this BC related tax crap?

Yeah I figured you've been running into the same thing.

No, not worried about BC tax, I'm selling these as a company. Worked out great last time. :)
