How do you achieve this percussion sound/fx ?

Post by dylanlolwut »

Hey guys,
Was searching through the forums there to see if anybody already asked this but i couldn't see any.
Just wondering if anybody knows how to make the pitched down sweet noise you hear in some tracks like the infamous, ben klock - subzero or in this track (2:04)
When i try pitching down a crash cymbal or something with a lot of white noise it just sounds out of time with the beat then?
I'm using ableton if that helps..
Greetings, brethren. Checketh out mine soundeth-cloud!

Just an open hat, with some chorus/unison, saturation/distortion, pitched down... It sounds like.

sounds like a trimmed white noise sample hitting on the 16th note (last beat of the measure)

Satanism huh
because a track with a kick on every quarter is completely different than verb bass... the former is creative... latter is not.
