No gigs in sight at the moment, but I decided to start building a new live set anyway, in case I need it.

Here's the first track I made for it. Octatrack, Analog Four, TR-8, as usual.

I like the vibe and a lot of the elements. Crits - The processed, hi passed vocal loop sounds like it would be better in a different pitch, sits a little off to me. The kick also would benefit from a bit more punch / low mids.

I plan on creating drum patterns on the Aira TR-8 on the fly as I play, so no premade patterns. Might end up sounding like shit, particularly as I'm probably very, very drunk at any gig I play.

Hi,

those tracks are pretty solid! For the first 3 tracks I would recommend to introduce add a snappy kick on top of the muffled kick from time to time. In my opinion it would be cool if you turn up the volume of the open hat after the break (track 3).

Some of the tracks ain't so great, I'll revisit them and re-edit them into something worthwhile.

This is a basically a topic about my music making process, going back and forth, editing things until I got a 45-60 minutes full of music worth playing to an audience. So bare with me, as some of things I'm posting are very much WIP.

Nice this one, background acid sounding synth reminds me of an early Paul Birken double pack.

I think I'm gonna make about 12 of these, then go back and refine the weaker ones and tweak things here and there until I'm happy about how the set flows.

I'm starting to have enough tracks, next project is to go back and make the tunes better and think about how to perform them all.
