How to have this kind of bass

Post by Tony »

Hello all,

I learn a lot about Techno Production. I have watch lot of tutorial but i can't find good tutorial about bassline.

I would like to know how to make bassline like this one :

https://soundcloud.com/thewelderz/the-w ... -converted
https://soundcloud.com/soma/secluded-fo ... e-soma-414
https://soundcloud.com/Bumload/luigi-m ... code-dc135
https://soundcloud.com/adambeyer/dcr222 ... etherlands at 7:15

I think it's a reverb on the kick ? Or something else ?

Thanks for your help.

I was wondering when this weeks reverb kick thread would be started. We need to start running a sweepstake.

I think next weeks will be started on Thursday at 11am.

I don't want to sound mean, but please try searching the forum (it works best via Google). There are so many threads on this specific topic. If you want pictures try this one:

I can't wait for the rumble-bass to go out of fashion.

We need a reverb bass sticky thread.

There are literally *screenshots* in that thread showing you exactly the settings to get this style of bass. I don't really know what else you could ask for. Have you tried following along and recreating it? If you're not getting the results you want, keep practising. There is no magic formula. We're all here, sharing information and trying to get better through hard work.

Now for the idealism. This has been done to death. Try and find your own take on the sound, or, even better, try doing a different style of bass altogether.

Everything you need is contained within the forum thread linked by people here already.

10 pages of how to make this kick sound in detail, even with pictures.

Or how about you pay me air fare, plus a large some of money and I will just come and do it all for you?

No thank you.

I can understand that you are bored about bassline threads.

Most of techno tracks today are made with that kind of bass. I just want to make those baselines/

Lads .. Keep it friendly please. Everyone had to start somewhere. It's nice seeing a lurker get involved. Let's not scare him away, eh? Play nice.. English isn't his first language.

If you wanna see how to do it Tony.. Look up exarmee on YT. He does lonnnng techno production sessions in deutsch. He does one where he resamples a kick with a long reverb tail & puts the reverb tail in a sampler on another track to the kick (now . reverb) and draws in midi notes to trigger the sampled kick reverb tail.

It's at the beginning of one of his vids.. So you won't have to scan or watch the entire thing.

It will get you very close to what you are looking for.

Ok - I'll be nice.

This helped me a lot.

With regards to it being done to death... perhaps, but I still find experimenting with it gives me good results.

Exarmee

The one good thing you can say about him is that he fucks around & tries shit out. Ignore the levels! haha

Sorry if it came across otherwise, I wasn't trying to be unfriendly. Just trying to point to other places this topic has been dealt with in depth.
