If you made 'quality' would you try and approach the bigger known record labels or build up slowly with the lesser known record labels?

it's useless to send demo's to the big labels, their schedule is full as fuck and they already have their artist roster. Try to develope your sound with decent labels that some of the big boys play regularly and try to keep it going in terms of quality. With a bit of luck, someday a big label will ask you for some tracks. That's the way to go imo. I couldn't care less over big labels though.
