Nope, LSD is an easy ride, that video is more like Salvia or DMT.Mslwte wrote:I've never taken LSD but I gather that is it.

Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
Salvia and Ketamine are related in that both work as disassociatives, though salvia is a lot more crazy than ketamine, and also a damn site less filthy and less physically toxic.
Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
I've not heard of salvia before. I first read it as saliva haha

Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
Salvia is a plant, still legal in the UK I believe, used by the Mazatec indians in shamanic journey`s.
It`s pretty crazy.
It`s a fast rocket ride to the otherland.
30 seconds with the right potency and you are no longer in this dimension, no longer you.
It is what the media likes to think LSD is, in that you truly fully hallucinate, not only that, you fully experience something else.
Then five minutes later you phase back into reality.
Pretty crazy.
Definitely not recreational, you need to have a good handle on your mental capacity, and be very good at "letting go".

If you have the leaves and not an extract it's not that mental really.
Very odd experience anyway.

Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
i think while these crazy videos from cyriak (check his others out!) are nothing like the LSD experience; the recursive geometry and wackiness relate very well to it!
never tried salvia unfortunately.
dmt is a life changer though

Depends how much and how long you chew, but yeah, it`s the extract that shoots you to another dimension.AxeD wrote:If you have the leaves and not an extract it's not that mental really.

This and DMT are about as psychedelic as you can get
Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
Tried salvia once...
never again.
never again.
Re: Life in the 50s looks interesting
I believe some people just aren't made for hallucinogetic stuff.
I mean, I like it if the 2 or 3 times a year I still take e if the product has a very slight hallucinant effect, but that's more than enough for me.
but the 3x or so that I tried mushrooms were just terrible.
so I know I have to stay away from LSD.
I know these are totally different things, but I know I'm just the person to get into a bad trip and start thinking all kinds of wrong stuff.
If you have that kind of personality, you're better off staying away from these things I think.
Just my feeling though, never tried anything stronger than mushrooms,
but my mrs stories from the hospital of people that got stuck into bad trips with LSD don't help to promote it either...

Must be 15 years since I tried salvia, and going on 20 since I last did a tab or a microdot or something. Just not my thing at all.Hades wrote:I believe some people just aren't made for hallucinogetic stuff.

Shrooms can actually have great benefits, and research is now being conducted to use it for therapy.

With any powerful psychedelic, you either need to be experienced, have a good handle on the dark places in your mind, or be used to deep meditation.
Salvia once a year for me is like getting my brain serviced, scrubbed and polished.
You go in, face all the shit that needs to be faced, and sort it out.
It helps to keep my mind strong.

who was the comedian in the middle ? I would say Bill Hicks but he died too soon to be talking about iPods, no ?
I wish they had turned down the background music a bit more, or at least chosen different tunes,
now I was constantly struggling with having to understand the people talking.
