EQ8 is my go-to too ^^ but I have like 20 other EQs installed wondering do I really need them...

Probably not.
I use EQ8 for most duties, I have a couple of specialist EQs for specific tasks like the Stilwell 1973, some dynamic EQ's which are a different thing altogether, and then for super tasks the wonderful DMG.
But really the EQ8 if it is your main EQ, is fine, the new filters are ultra clean. They were designed by one of the best circuit modelling guys in the vst business.
