the background noise at times got in the way of the voices.
it almost sounded as if someone was vacuüm-cleaning the room on the right.
it was probably the fan noise of their gear, but damn that shit sounded loud on my setup here...

World Cup? Canada isn't known for soccer/football. Hockey is really the main ge here. Although I have noticed a large growth in soccer since about 1998. It seems to be more and more popular each euro & WC. I think it's in part due to immigration people bring their love of the game here to their new home.

I tried to make this point a couple weeks ago on a Friday afternoon at the hipster cafe I like to have my coffee at. You know what happened. This black lesbian started arguing with me. Every single thing I tried to say she came over the top with some lesbian/minority politically correct bullshit. After 45 minutes of trying to speak anc make a badic point I just called her a fucking racist and walked away. The next day I saw some of the dreads that I usually talk with. When I mentioned what happened they started laughing and told me she is a fucking wack job. I should have known better....

Just got back at 1AM this saturday morning and back on nightshifts now.
Didn't turn on my internet for 11 days,
still haven't even opened my private mailbox.
Didn't even listen to any techno except for half a podcast one day.
You can't imagine how relaxing all that was.

That and pretty women gazing at you at the beach.

And reading a few good books.

Barely even heard a lot of details of the airplane crashes.

Came home : electricity in half my house was down, including my studio.
My electrician came (gave him the key) to renew all the cabling in my hallway, and he didn't get it all finished. Cabling was done, dirt everywhere in our house, but he didn't have the time to connect it all back up.
He won't be able to come back till monday.

That and maggots in my trash. Thank god my friend had put the trash out on the terrace or they had been everywhere in my kitchen. (even though we had emptied the trash as much as possible before we left, we think it came from the cats food rests that were dumped in there by our neighbour who came feeding the cat, that and the heat of course)
My mrs was almost crying from all the work she had to do.
My cat was so happy we were back he barely let me sleep cause he was just craving for attention.

Ow and my best friend who's in a deep depression cause the "woman of his life" has been cheating on him all the time, so he's gotta come crash at my place for what will probably be the best part of a few months.
He left his previous partner and his baby son for that woman...
He's still paying for the house his previous partner lives in, plus rent for the place he shares with his new (soon to be ex) cheating woman.
Man man man...

Yeah yeah, business as usual...
Back half a day and everyone's stressing you out...
Thank god the holiday was just perfect.

if I didn't : she pays me a visit at my student home and we plan to go to the movies afterwards.
I had just made a new space-cake, the weed stench was all over the place.
She inquired about it, looking really hungry (my mrs loves cakes and pies and all that crap). I told her I made a cake with fresh herbs in it.
She knew I was a big weed smoker, so I figured she would put 2 and together.
She didn't, so with a big smile on my face I let her eat some, and we went to the movies together.
We both couldn't remember a single thing from that film afterwards, and I only told her that she had space-cake 6 months later, when she returned from her erasmus.
This was several years before we were a couple though, and I had no bad intentions with her whatsoever.
I made sure she got home safe that night, for example.

ow man, ages since I made or ate space cake.
I've become one of those old cunts that secretly has to hide his vaporizer and weed stash for his kids.
My oldest would be asking too many questions if she'd see me with something like that.
I tried cutting down on the booze by smoking weed again. Problem is the opportunities where I can actually smoke weed and not have one of my kids walk in are so small my weed stash is just staying almost untouched since I bought some again months ago.
At least I can blame my kids later on if they say their dad's an alcoholic...
