May he rest in peace in music heaven. I guess I'm a bit to short in the music scene to have known his music, I skipped the whole house phase and went from HipHop straight to Sonic Groove and stuff.

But that aside, I spent my morning listening his stuff. Great house, as it should be in my opinion.

That's a shame. Diabetes according to a comment on there.

Is it definitely true? Someone in the comments talks about him tweeting the other day / today / yesterday. Will look on Twitter.

The man who the phrase 'House' was coined for.

That's about a big an accolade as one can get.

His edit of 'Only the Strong Survive' remains my most favourite dance track.

Sad news indeed. Alas, House music is old enough now that this is going to happen more and more :(.

Deffo RIP.

It is a sad fact. Man, I hate hearing shit about albums or tracks being 20+ years old. Makes me feel old. Knuckles reminds us of mortality. Its nice to have been a small & hopefully positive part of people's lives. That's the real goal of life. That's all that one should ever wish for because no matter how much money you accumulate, you can't bring it with you. Hopefully his family is looked after well.

Btw.. I was going to make a 'joke' about Frankie Bones.. but I wouldnt have liked to be on the receiving end from The Mitchell Brothers :D

RIP.

Some of my favourite tracks on the very first tapes I used to have were Frankie Knuckles tracks, without them I might have never even got into electronic music.

In the end, it all goes back in the box, like a game of monopoly.

He was certainly monumental in pushing house music forward, indirectly facing the adversities of a booming MTV and any other tv channel so very reluctant to accept this 4 to the floor music, reluctant to see this as the future.
