out of phase?

is it still relevant to fix the phase problems today? (talking about digital release, not vinyl here)
what problems are related to a track with some sounds out of phase? on a stereo system of course.

do you check this when you make music or not?

I'm not an expert but personally I usually check different phase settings with layered sounds, or sounds that have similar pitch and try to hear if a phase issue isn't weakening the whole. typically with kick or bass sounds.

I don`t worry too much about phase except in the low end or where cancellation is causing problems.
