Welcome fellow readers to the Subsekt Creativity Experiment using three sounds only

Since there have been some discussions and talk about being creative, what spurs creativity, making experimental, new, fresh music and what not here quite recently I figured we could try this out.

One of the (in my opinions) best ways to force yourself to think a few turns extra and make something you wouldn't expect from yourself to make is to limit yourself. By quite a lot. By limiting yourself to only work with a few predefined rules, one can get very nice ideas.

So I propose we try to do this to spur collective creativity and force you to think a bit different.

The goal: The aim is to make a short loop or track of max 32 bars made by limiting the elements of things to use. Upload your material in this thread.

The limits: You are only allowed to use the three sounds which I have chosen. These can only be used max two times each. You're only allowed to use max 6 (stereo) channels and max 10 effects (incl processing effects such as EQ / compression) overall. The sounds are intentionally very "bleak" and "basic" and definitely nothing interesting.

The sounds are these, and I got them from free packs on the web from Goldbaby and Wave alchemy:

Probably a silly question here - what about effects built into a sampler? I'm nearly done with mine, but I've got a couple of filters in use on the Simplers before they actually go through the effects chain (if any), would that count as one of the ten?

interesting challenge anyway, it's definitely got me thinking about doing more with less...

Also, is any quick-and-dirty "mastering" permitted? since that's beyond the creative side anyway...

Good thinking. Built in filters & envelopes on the sampler doesn't count towards the effect processing then. Since I didnt mention it!

ahhhhhh fun idea mattias!! couldn't resist here!!
used each sound twice with a total amount of 9 effects (no sends).. took 20minutes and i feel ready to make music now

heres my crack at this



3 sounds 6 channels and the master. i may even flesh it out into a track ha ha. i think it took me about 30 minutes max.
