i remember listening to this a few years ago and reading a youtube comment about the lyrics.

the lyrics sum up subsekt pretty well to be honest.
There is no culture is my brag,
Your taste for bullshit reveals a lust for a home of office
This is the home of the vain!
This is the home of the vain!
Where are the obligatory niggers?
Hey there fuckface!
Hey there fuckface!
There are twelve people in the world
The rest are paste
This is the home of the vain!
This is the home of the vain!
I just left the hotel amnesia, I had to go there
Where it is I can't remember,
But now I can remember, now I can remember
Hafta! hafta!
Message for yer! message for yer!
Too much reliance on girl here
On girls here, behind every shell-actor
Snobbier snobbier
Too much romantic here
I destroy romantics, actors,
Kill it!
Kill it!
Kill it a!
Kill it!
Kill it a!
You won't find anything more ridiculous, than this new profile
Razor unit, made with the highest british attention to the
Wrong detail, become obsolete units surrounded by hail.
The classical!
The classical!
The classical!
Hotel aggro!
Message for yer! message for yer!
The classical!
Poleaxe a!
One of the millennium of conspiracy,
Forever,
I know it means a lot of stomach gas,
I know it means a lot of stomach gas,
I've never felt better in my life
I've never felt better in my life
Poleaxe a!
The classical!
Stomach gas
I've never felt better in my life
I've never felt better in my life
Poleaxe a!
Millennium of conspiracy
Play out classical
I've never felt better in my life
Better in my life

1. you don't have a Pekinese dog with his own FB page.
2. you don't own a pet rabbit called Jean-Claude Van Damme.
3. you don't have a mrs with Powder Slut as her artist name.
4. apart from the last few seconds, there's not exactly lots happening in that video. No dance fight in the disco, no obscure horror/porn clips,...
:)

it's clear that all of this has a massive effect on your music... :D

btw : your snares sound too normal techno/house style compared to all the synth wave I heard this morning.
Not that I care or that it matters, but I find it funny how that's probably your roots shining through anyway.

Nice tune though ! ;) ;)

there is techno with more melodic content, but you're right that stuff like synthwave automatically focuses more on melody (with it's rather raw synth sounds) and less on sound design and groove.

a little EBM from time to time is always nice.
And in any case, it's always nice to listen to more than just one genre.

well, you forgot my lazy fat cat who now feels personally insulted,
(I think I saw him move his left paw 2mm to the right out of pure disappointment),
and the taxidermic crown crane, spider crab, echinus,...
my explosive neighbor that loves yelling at his kids,
all of that helps to get you in the right mood to sit on your ass in the studio for hours hoping you'll end up with something half decent.

I could think of a few things more though :
*Pedro's fluffy ass in here 24/24
*a fridge with never ending supply of beer (where do they all disappear to ffs ?)
*a mute button for my mrs and girls.
*maybe a liposuction in 2018 ?

It's all just material shit. It's nice, and of course I like it. But people can do without most material shit.
I just like to have enough room, and since I don't live in a big city, I could get a big house, which means space for stuff like a library or studio (or even DJ room later, no room to put that in the studio).
The most valuable thing of all (apart from the obvious like family and good health) is I had a lot of time.
If you don't have time, you can't even read the books, watch the films, or get to know your synths,
so none of that would have mattered if I didn't have the time.
I'm not rich, at least for this country, but I always preferred time over money. You can't buy back time, unless you get so stinking rich you don't have to work any more, but that never happens to most of us ever anyway, and then you still have to get old enough and you still can't buy back the time you already lost.

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it. Here's a link to the full album, if you're interested in hearing more: https://timeslaves.bandcamp.com/album/cosmopolis

I also got into synthwave when on a break from techno. Then it sort of stuck. I love them both. I think I'm better at making synthwave, but maybe that will change one day. :P

Yeah NRW don't really do many proper videos. Mainly they just put your music up for their giant subscriber base (that video has been watched 38,000 times) and give you a cut of the revenue they bring in.

I'm definitely one of the more techno influenced people in the scene, though the early stuff (back when it was called outrun electro) has a much stronger influence from techno and especially from French house. But I tend to arrange around a single groove, use a lot of four-to-the-floor beats and make stuff that could work in a mix. Whereas a lot of other people in the scene are using traditional song structure. Most live performances in the scene are done like a band, with a stage and breaks between songs. A few people do sets, which I prefer.

The southern soul of Joe Tex.

Been playing it in the mastering room and it`s just glorious. The sound is so silky.

I had to play at a funeral of the mother from one of my mrs' best friends this morning.
One guy tried to talk about the West-Flemish roots of the woman who got buried.
As is always the case, whenever they try to imitate the accent, it's a horrible thing to hear...

I'm going to see these lovely fuck-it-all party chicks saturday.
Electro trash with West-Flemish lyrics,
priceless entertainment from artists that don't take themselves too seriously...

One of the best basslines written and performed by one of the best reggae artists, if not the best.

I'm really getting into the music that my uncles played in the 80's, with their dreadlocks and dubious cigarettes. Political lyrics and wicked bass. Everything I want my music to be.

youtu.be/usiaMhUkOkg

AND the track that was blasted from every house/ car in Birmingham in '95.

I've always been big into late 70s/early 80s reggae.

The album Red by Black Uhuru is a favorite

But my all-time favorite group is the Congos
