So I 'm using this interface for quite a time now bcus it seemed quite nice for a budget.
But, I always had a bit of a weird feeling with it.
When I bought it. I had to do a firmware update right away (a fix).

Now last week a friend lend me his focusrite saffire dsp 24.

The sounds how they come are kinda the same.
But after a bit of effects I noticed it was alot easyer to hear stuff on the focusrite.

Not to mention the final mix.

I 'm wondering if this might be placebo.
Or does the interface affect what I hear?

The eie has a lot of problems (a friend has one and has told me all the trials and tribulations), and was supported terribly, but as far as I know the output part is fine.
Unlikely the audio output is different to the focusrite, almost certainly placebo.
