A new track and video from me called Separate Rooms. No real concept to this one other than the main idea was written on a bit of a downer and tried to carry that through to the video. Fairly pleased with it and got a good reaction from non-techno (and non dance music in general) friends on FB.

i like the gasmask vibe :D
nice drive in the track also.
the interaction of the different percs is great, arrangement also works fine for me.
but i think the mix balance could be improved. some sounds are really sharp, others are a bit dull.
and the rumble & kick could pump through more, i think they get a bit overpowered by the load of perc sounds on top.
maybe lowcut the stuff more?

Yeah, I'm a bit cloth eared and it's the final mix where I'm constantly trying to up my game at the moment. Realise I've got a bit to go when comparing to other productions but can hear the advances in my own material at the same time. An equal mix of disappointment/satisfaction that all producers go through I guess :)

Cheers for listening and commenting.

I like it.
The balance is a little off as a whole, but the sound choices are good.
The top end offbeat hat/click thing is too loud, a touch too hard with the transient and also sits uncomfortably off to the right of the mix, which may be hazardous in a club context. Best to keep your main groove elements mostly centred.
Bottom end is a touch thick and woolly, so the kick doesn`t quite punch through the rumble.

A little clean up here and there and this will be good to go.

Praise from Caesar :) Seriously, cheers though I genuinely appreciate it.

Not sure if I can face going back and revisiting it just yet, plus there's a chance I may have a new set of monitors soon so may wait until then.
