Audio damage Axon 2....worth the upgrade?

Post by Pelecaras »

Just had the email and was wondering if anyone has upgraded and if so is it worth it?

Version 1 is great so I hope they've done something special for V2

I loved the sounds of Axon, but hated the sequencer.
I make my beats how I like them, I don`t like to have to rely in deterministic algorhytms to do it for me.
Unfortunately there was no way of sequencing the sounds externally in the original, you had to use the annoying sequencer.
Has this changed with version 2?

all of these audio damage upgrades are $10 each, if you use them it's a no-brainer. i personally didn't like axon's sequencer.

If I've read it correctly then it seems that they have added external midi control, that's a huge plus 'cos as you say the sequencer is not the best.

It`s fine for what it is, I just don`t use thinks like arpeggiators, sequencers with probability etc.
I`m a composition Nazi, I want everything musical to be from my mind, and not rely on machines to make decisions for me.

Read the manual, you are right
MIDI operation has been streamlined by assigning notes to Axon’s neurons in the convention of most
drum machines and software drum synths.
And that means I`ll be buying this.

oh well shit... why didn't they put that on the upgrade page rather than burying it in the manual?

Ephermere is worth a look for straight FM drum sounds. Not sure if I'll upgrade axon, I've never used 1 enough.
