god that made me laugh
I always liked that quote from "as good as it gets", which was only slightly entertaining at best,
where some fan asks Jack Nicholson how he's able to write so well about women in his books,
and he goes : "I think of men, and then I take away reason and accountability"

Doesn't it make you think? Men don't seem to come under this kind of analysis for what they wear. I mean, really, it doesn't have anything to do with anyone else what Mila wears.
I am going to go home and put my black, hooded dress on in solidarity with her.

it's like when I was a Goth in high school and my GF was someone who would only be wearing all kinds of colors,
her favorite color being orange.
We were the laughing stock of quite a few people...
I found back some pics of me all dressed up in Goth outfit,
my girls couldn't stop laughing when they saw them.
so glad I grew up in the times before smartphones were common...
her favorite color being orange.

I literally swear to God that I have a well gothy black dress with a HUGE hood. It isn't all glitter and unicorns, I like to keep my attire pretty fluid.Hades wrote:ow no you won't, because all you have is 378 colorful unicorn clothes.

they seem like a jolly nice crowd,
just the kind of folks you would like to have an intelligent conversation with,
or a good old game of scrabble.
reminds me of Clayton Bigsby

is the guy in the middle wearing sunglasses or is that some kind of goggles ?
would they be going for a group swim later on, like after a massive man-hug or something ?
They look very gay friendly to me, or maybe that's just me getting my hopes up...

Goggles I think. Pretty sure this guy is on his way to do a set at the boiler roomHades wrote:is the guy in the middle wearing sunglasses or is that some kind of goggles ?
Edit: Fixed quote...
Re: Black hooded robes and techno: not just for men!
well, with goggles on, at least you can't really shoot them in the eye and all that jazz...
do you know what an angry pirate is btw ?
might be kind of inappropriate for some of our more sensitive subsekt members,
but pretty much made my day when someone explained it to me a few years ago...
do some googling, (urban dictionary is your friend), and whatever you do, don't blame me,
I sure as hell didn't invent this, I'm just sharing the humor...

ah, you know, when I was a teenager and totally into gothic...over9000 wrote:i just worked with a young dude whos in this techno subculture thing, found his "techno" obsession quite ridiculous

though I still believe the gothic scene was one of the better ones to dwell into when I was young and naïve
(nowadays I'm only semi-naïve)
honestly, the whole dressing up part... I guess it was just part of desperately trying to find some kind of identity...
But if one of my 2 girls would end up in some kind of scene, I would be more than happy if they'd end up in the goth scene if that would still be the half the same as it was in my days.

Re: Black hooded robes and techno: not just for men!
yeap that was spot on. I totally agree with what all this is trying to present. I mean we wouldn t have this discussionLost to the Void wrote:As do most of these "hai I ams anony mouse technoz now, look at mai mask" posers.
here after all if she hadn t turned a set into a ritual! and to be honest I think that all this is just striving to get attention.
I know her almost 2 years she was always into cosplay in her photos. Although she was with military post apocalyptic kind of thing.
I guess she discovered SNTS guy and she was like ''how come I didn t think of that ?''
but ok all this thing goes back loong time. i mean the mask trick is old. what is new is the interviews while taking a foam bath,
djing with see through clothes,
botox on the lips to the point it messes up the cables. that kind of stuff. and of course it s working. recently I was wasting my
time on youtube for decent music production tutorials and I stumbled upon a channel that the guy (the producer) was talking
through a puppet! so i m wasted on 3 pm and listening to a freaking puppet explaining me techniques and shit! and although
the content is not that great the channel is a hit of course...
so yes it is nothing but marketing, no statement or meaning under all this hoods and masks. of course I m not judging it if it s working it s working and
apparently whenever I come across that stuff I keep reminding to myself to shut up and let ppl enjoy things!!
''We all have the equal amount of now. Got it? ... now go and make some good techno.''
