dubdub - aquatic electro dub
Not sure what else to call this, lol
Mix might slightly too murky, not sure exactly.
Re: dubdub - aquatic electro dub
Not really sure what you're going for in terms of I don't listen to a lot of stuff like this. I was waiting for some booming low bass to come in to counter the snappy drums but it never happened.
Also the drum beat is kinda jerky which I guess is your intention but maybe another element needs to be in the mix with it making them feel more deliberate if that makes any sense? Cause the pads are so mellow, I dunno right now it makes the beat seem little uncomfortable.

I like the chords and pads acquatic feeling. As Opna said, a sub addition could be nice, maybe just a deep sinewave doing boo, boo booo, filling some gaps. The drums sound very dull to me, although there is a lot happening. All in all they could handle more punch and edginess and dynamic. And when it comes to the jerky rhythm, that's right, there has to be something, that makes the jerky rhythm more rolling. That ride that comes from time to time is the right direction. Maybe a continuous 16th hihat, percussion or whatever..

Definitely add a bassline. The synths ends up being a bit too separated in this track, they sound like a loud layer above the rest, not like a balanced unity that belongs to the rest.
Attenuating the synths is a start. Perhaps clean up the snare from low frequencies a little, it's a bit bold. Start from there and see where it leads you.

I agree with the above comments. A bit random, but I think some vocoder vocals would be a great addition to the track. What you have sounds nice, it's now just to add some more elements.
Re: dubdub - aquatic electro dub
Cheers guys! Now that you say it, the track definitely could use a bassline. Not sure why I didn't add one, honestly.
Good call, I like the sound of vocoders (although it can be a bit cheesy ) i'm just lazy with finding samples to send through.TimBuys wrote:I agree with the above comments. Really like that panned rim shotish sound that comes in from time to time
I agree that the addition of vocals would greatly enhance the tracks, try looking here : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... ka9htJuX0- this is a playlist containing some movie quotes if you're too lazy
