Working on this one atm. Have a listen! :)

I'm sure the track is 'Banging' but even though we don't have a post count on this thread, courtesy should be extended to others before you ask for help.

You get out of this forum what you put in.

This is good.

You should post it in the member's section for full feedback.

Might as well!

I like the electro vibe, though, you're right, the outro is a bit sudden I think the big issue is that, as you have it right now, the bassline is a bit static for that kind of almost acid arpeggio. I would play with the bassline a bit more (with filter resonance, cutoff + reverb send). The sudden outro shows off how the bassline is more of the lead in this track anyways, even though you have those other sounds coming in in the middle. You might end up needing less sounds. Otherwise, good mix, i like the percussion, and the "happy" electro vibe.

do you have a background in dnb production? your drum work is usually top notch as well, plus the synth work in this is ace and sounds like some neuro beats. I like it. Though, honestly, what would make this into a 10/10 for me, is ditching the beat altogether. I would buy the shit out of a slow, building ambient mix. The synth work is that strong.

Hey everyone!

Ended up throwing the last track I was working on in the bin. So I made a new one. I'm not really sure about the distribution of energy througout the track, and once again I feel very uncertain about the rhythmic parts. But this one came out of a groove that I quite liked - Any feedback is very appreciated! Love you guys!

Oh wow thats a real compliment. I originally came from pretty much just playing dub and Neuro style music to now doing techno. Maybe this is why you are hearing that style in my music? I could probably do another pass at this with more ambient frameworks for sure!

So this genius just discovered toms. Been working on a few beats, still just rough loops. This is the first one, penny for your thoughts?

I really like that! It has some sort of invisible groove around the melody, which I really like!

Also that droning ambiance - is that just reverb or is it a droning synth or something?

Thanks! Yeah, the ambience is just one of the exs24 string settings holding a note, put through the vallhalla vintage verb on chorus mode a couple of times.

although not really my cup of techno (the style is too trancey for my taste) I think this is a decent enough starting point for a good track.
for my two penneth worth it lacks energy and the kick sounds a little weak in the mids (I'm using shitty earplug phones so could be wrong)
good work though buddy...keep on keeping on.

Something I made just for the sake of it, All the "vocals" you can hear are me whispering into my shitty built-in laptop mic, the whole track was for the purpose of testing if those vocals could work or not in a track context, so don't take this one too seriously, just wanted to share with you guys

https://soundcloud.com/alftaend/emotions/s-u0MZS

EDIT:even the pad was hummed by me and recorded using my laptop mic, and I had a fan running in the background

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate getting some fresh ears on it! After you said it lacked energy and I heard it again, I actually thought that close to none of my transitions works (as in they sort of take the air/energy out of the track) and I think that's a place where there are lots of room for improvement!

And after you said that thing about the kick - I tried to put it into a spectrum analyzer, and you were right - there was a major dip in the mids of the tracks (a little overdrive+eq seemed to work wonders on that!) I really appreciate it!

I think that there are also places where the groove isn't completely there, so I might look into that too :)

once again thank you!
