its been a fun hour with the juno...

so far i have:
- sync the arpegiator to the roland TR-8 (works like a charm)
- load factory samples by tape wav files
- go crazy !!!

here is a picture::
Image

what would be a cool stand for the juno + TR-8 + a midi synth ?
tricks and advices are welcome with open arms !!

Oh my god, yes. When I mucked about on the Ju-06 it did that, and I realized that I had to buy it. The 60/106 are and always will be my sentimental favorite synths.

As for classic Korg, I always preferred the PolySix over the Monopoly, but that's splitting hairs a bit. Both were great.

Lost to the Void wrote:I`ve been looking to buy a Monopoly forever, and only when finding a video where a guy matches monopoly patches to korg minilogue did I realise that you can do monopoly sounds with the minilogue, and that it shares some architecture.
I couldn`t get one any quicker after finding that out, but that`s way off topic.
...and now I know what I'm doing this week.

for diva , its quite a lot of knobs... but its possible to make it cheap , but expect no case , a plexy glass pannel yes..

You know, and I'm being serious here, you could actually make a nice bit of cash making a generic subtractive synth controller. Something that just has the following mapped for major VSTs:

OSC 1
OSC 2
Filter
HPF
Amp Env
Filter Env (or assignable EG)
LFO1
LFO2

And then a series of, say, 8 unmapped knobs assignable via MIDI learn.

Could be like the System 8 where different areas light up depending on which functions are present in the VST. I mean, I would pay $250 for this and I get other people would too.

Guys there was a German that did that already, a Diva controller that is:

http://www.synth-project.de/diva.html

Price for parts only 1370 euros :D

Oh looks beautiful the Juno btw Tenga, congratulations with your wonderful new synth.

That looks beautiful, but for that price, they better have the software loaded into that thing themselves.

Yeah underworld v1.
And before that they were freur, and released the classic track doot doot.
Their new album is actually back on top form, the previous 2 albums were meh. Saw them play live at the roundhouse last year and it was mindblowingly good. They had an enormous soundsystem and it was tuned to mastering studio perfection. I've actually never heard a funktion 1 rig sound that good.
It was possibly one of the best electronic music gigs I have been to (number 1 being Throbbing Gristle at the Astoria when they reformed first in 2004, which utterly fucked my mind) and I have seen them many times before. First time I have seen them not off my face too.
Their studio is a couple of miles from where I live now. I love em, I owe them a lot for really showing me that dance music can be meaningful and artistic and not just drug music, back when I discovered them in the drug haze of the 90s.
I distinctly remember the first time I heard second toughest in the infants. It really slayed me.
I'll write about the story when I have time 2morro. It involves a man called wiggy Phil, a ford Capri 2.8i, Madame Tussauds in London, and the strongest purple microdots I've ever had.

juno 60 all the way. the sound is amazing. great arpeggiator. you can quickly/easily shape the sound. a4 is great, but if you don't have your head wrapped around elektron products or have a great understanding of synthesis then there is a decent learning curve ahead. only downside about juno is no midi, but you can mod.

i will probably add the minerva mod in the following weeks :)
i will be happy to get some bank "tapes" from othe juno 60 users ....

i created a facebook group for roland JUNO 60 users
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1028326427299399/

also i found that is possible to extract binary information from old tapes using a python script....
http://www.dabeaz.com/py-kcs/index.html
now i have binary files.... i only need to understand the encoding ...(fuck)
but it would be possible to make some sort librarian for the juno.... Anyways.....

Another Underworld fan here!
After a Hundred Days Off I lost touch - maybe need to reconnected.

Recently Voiski did a Underworld cover: https://dement3d.bandcamp.com/album/marble-sadness

Come to Omen City! :D

well, when I was at Loop in Berlin, I met msl for a few beers.
I was gonna catch up with Mono as well, but his mrs got sick so he had to take care of little mono.

I invited Pedro (mainst09) over for 2 weeks about 2 years ago, that was great fun.
And when I was without a job for a while, I invited him back for 2 months, and that was even way better.
One of the best times of my life. Fucking miss that cunt ! (and my girls loved having him around)

I got a pretty big house, so it's easy enough to have someone over and still find enough room to do your own thing if you want to.
But yeah, years before that, I once had someone over that I had known for about 10 years through the internet, and that turned out to be a huge mistake.
A massive mistake... (But I've sworn not to talk about that in detail on the net in public.)
So I guess you never really know how things turn out when you meet someone in real life.
But when it works out, it's just great fun.
