Mono.xID - Lucid Voice

Post by Mono-xID »

Sloooooooooowly i'm getting rid of my nearly 1 year writers block. Not 100% happy with all my recent experiments but i see a small candle at the end of a long tunnel.

Bass is maybe a bit too rumble-y and the kick doesn't have enough oomph and punch.

I like it. It`s a little bit spanish dark techno era/mulero-ey, but there`s nowt wrong with that.

It`s a shame that lead sounds loses it`s punch once the filter is opened.

Ace as always. I'm also with Steve here, the power gets slightly lost when the filter is opened, it works for the break but "should" go back down to where it used to be throughout the track. Preference only.

I like it too.

I would go crazy with the claps (reverse/reverb etc.) to make the sequence more interesting.

Good stuff. I actually like opening the filter quite a bit (gives the track some drama), but then yeah, might work better to quickly close it again.

Yeah, I actually like the lead sound when the filter opens, maybe you could give it a little more bite when it opens by throwing on some overdrive, if you have one that reacts to the input signal would save you some additional work. If not maybe you could control it with a 'sidechain' like process of the incoming (original) signal, I think would do nicely here enhancing the attack. If you use Live something like that should be easy enough with Max, in f.ex. MuLab this is also pretty easy to do at least. Kick is sounding chunky, though I don't mind it. Track is a bit short though.

This sound really good and has potential to be a nice track! It loses a bit of power after the break but still good.

Alright, then I'd say it's a little long :P

If it's not finished yet, I'd say push on through, it's the only way to get back into it.
