But that metal pipe banging snare is really off-putting. It ruins it for me. Perhaps a more conventional sizzling reverbed snare?

Youve got some nice variations in there, its pretty relenting with the militant hats, i like the metal hit maybe use it a bit less tho or automate it instead of it feeling like a metronome. Put a break in, add an intro and outro, some bigger bridging automations and youd have a nice track.

Sounds nice, the highpass-filtering is a bit offputting though. The mix sounds a bit dull without the pad but I guess that can create a contrast.
