Hi,
So over all I like what you're going for here.
Good points for me:
Individually i think I like pretty much every sound in there.
I like the crunchy upfront mix. Amost has that sound like it's just come straight off some modular hardware or something. however...
Not so good points:
I think the mix is a bit flat. I know its a sort of in your face low fi sounds you're going for but i feel like there needs to be a little bit of atmosphere. Some things have to be more in the back for the bits in the front to really stand out. On my headphones at least it feels like everything is competing for the same space.
After about 3 min in I feel like the track really runs out of ideas. I get that this probably isnt a big breakdown kinda track. As such maybe work on some interesting choppy edits and pepper them around the track a bit to keep the beat fresh. (you have some interesting bits right at the end where the beat seems to change but by then i'd sort of lost the flow)
That's my take anyway...

Re: Jim Sandford - Dcrcag
thanks for detailed feedback
Re: Jim Sandford - Dcrcag
The mix is a bit too distorted and agressive. I recommend using saturation that's a bit more gentle. I turned the track on and instantly was like "whoah, that's too much". For the kick I recommend layering with a more dry kick to give it a bit more definition.
