dubdub - 1049

Too boring? Too simple? Dunno if this one is any decent. I guess I like the overall texture of the mix. Also not sure on some of the levels, the hat might be a touch loud; I've had problems mixing it despite the relatively few elements.

New mix version, pretty similar but I think a bit better.

Cool, a full length dubdub track:))

Sweet evolving stab as the main theme, though I'd softer the transient a smidge if it's gonna carry the whole track. It does have enough juice to last to the end. The only thing I'd add is some subtle percussion in the 2nd half. Nice one!
how far do you want to go

Thanks.

Hmm, I intentionally emphasized the transients on the chords to get a more percussive feel, maybe I went a bit overboard.

I have some ideas on little bits to add, if I get around to it, I'll post the new version.

As always your mixes are smooth as baby's butt!

If your question is whether or not it is too dull, then I can clearly say NO! I find it incredibly funky - there might not be a lot of elements, but that doesn't mean that there is not a lot going on. I really want to dance to this - energetic sweetness!

Great job - I don't have anything to add :)

Great and funky track, love the snappy hihat and the evolving theme. Would prefer a short intro to get introduced to the stabs a bit smoother.

Love the funk in those chord stabs...and driving kick drum. Super stripped back and very effective.

Btw...We're about to cross paths soon as I just finished my 1048 track today. For some reason I started this when I saw the numbers 1011 on a building when I was sitting at a stop light. The name came to me later and I just continued to increment.

Wow dubdub, this really feels like a progressive track that I can get around.
The kick drum keeps this thing moving so nicely, so I wish you didn't take it fully out at 215.
The percussion would be nice if it evolved a little bit but the synth line is perfect.

Mix sounds dope for sure. cant make out anything that would possibly be off
the elements sit very well together and the groove works good
but the modulation is too subtle for me to make it work as a full track.
lacking a proper arrangement imo, or go more heavy in the automation/modulation of the effects and elements
