Hi mate,

Like the atmosphere alot!
Not really sure but it seems the lowmids are bit overpowering when the synth hits.
Hats at 5 min could be a bit louder.

cheers

Really like the track, would prefer if the kick stood out just a bit more. But other than that, nice work!

Amazing work. The atmosphere is crazy. I am really digging the arrangement and the whole structure. You got a great track here.

But I feel the mix is pretty unbalanced, I find the kick quite weak and I would work on the mid n high frequencies.

The composition is really good, it is more a technical aspect thing

Oooh, I love the really far back delayed thing at the start, it is maybe just a teeny bit too low.

The kick needs to be a bit more there. I think it just needs upping slightly. I get the kind of kick you are going for.

Love the stabs and the scattery hats delayed hats, I always aspire to get my hats like that and always fail.

Gorgeous atmosphere and feel. Just beautiful :)

thanks heaps guys!

mix is a bit rough listening back to much bottom/bottom mid and not enough clarity ...... but you know i like to push them out the door ! :-)

re:kicks its a bit of a weird thing now as lots of dub has this micro kick thing going where there is barely any kick at all . its a fine balancing act ..... ive written half a dozen tracks since this that don't even have half the kick this does

TBH, I have totally missed a lot of recent dub techno so no idea what the kicks are saying at the moment :) Still, great work though :)

Really nice. I can't say much about the mix except that it sounds OK on headphones. I think the kick sitting quite far back sounds OK and suits the style like you say. Perhaps it could be a tiny touch louder but I dunno...

The atmosphere you've created is lush as fook. Wish I could make things as warm and soft as this :-)

lush = reverb + delay + lots of layers = profit

current track im working on has only 13 tracks but 11 individual instances of reverb/delay . the only thing dry is the kick and sub bass

many would say thats not they way to do it and bus things properly.....

but meh . if youve got the power to burn, burn it!

Love the track, the mix is a little messy though.

the thing with these type of dub techno kicks is that they actually have a lot of low end usually, but it`s super low, and you feel it, but the only component you hear is the click transient.
I think the mistake here is that you have the click transient, but not the hidden lows, so it means the grunt and groove of the low end is basically not there.
It`s as simple as compressing the shit out of an 808 style kick, you will get the click more "in your face", but the lows will remain solid, then you just scoop out as much middle as you dare....

The bass could have more oomph in the lows too. Dub is about bass after all.

This is very mid weighted, it`s like you need a reverse smile curve.

thanks for the tip void. ill play around with some compression next time . I have generally been cutting the low end of the kicks with a gentle-ish roll off from about 60hz , It might be a bit much . Similar with the bass Ive been using an extreme cut at around 40hz to get rid of any mud . Bass in my tiny room as always a problem , sometimes too little sometimes too much . need to hurry up and get some good headphones. probably 712 pro's .

Yeah, I think perhaps you are getting too much bass in your room and are pulling back bass because of it.
The bass end of the mix, on it`s own, is well balanced, it just sits in the mix as a whole, too quiet.
Yeah, headphones might help in this case.

Hello, nice track.
My initial response was the pad sound could use a high pass filter to take some of the lower end out, that'll create some space for more subs on the kick.
Hope that helps.
