I fear your memory is failing you.
we have discussed the Andromeda here before, you and me.
tbh, I see no use whatsoever to get myself a SW editor (don't have a tablet either, hate those things),
I agree the knobs aren't the most responsive from time to time,
but I always got along just fine.
Maybe the knobs on your Andy are worse than the ones on mine ?
I mean, I heard so many semi "horror" stories about the Andy,
(thank god only after I got mine or I might have had 2nd thoughts)
like for example drifting out of tune all the time,
or not responding to MIDI properly,
but mine has always worked just fine (knock on wood).
One thing I do know :
it's one of my all time favorite synths.
I mean, during all these years, I've went through approx. 35 HW synths (last time I counted),
and tons of VST's.
Obviously, I sold most of them, but I still have about 14 HW synths here.
If my studio would burn down tomorrow, there are only a few items I'd really want to get back asap,
because I simply couldn't live without them,
and the Andy is
definitely one of them.
