I quite like it actually. The last album was great tooThe_G wrote:Here's a synthwave producer moving into more industrial territory. Not entirely sure what I think of it yet, but it's certainly interesting.

I prefer Neo-Tokyo to this one, but I appreciate what he's trying to do. He's a very talented guy.PixelKind wrote:I quite like it actually. somehow I can't get the right embedding of the link, sorry
I'm not a religious man at all, on the contrary, but this struck me very deeply.
My girlfriend and I are traveling through the south of Spain at the moment, and today we arrived at Sevilla, where we found a nice apartment in the outskirts of town, right next to some old warehouses. When we got back from a late dinner, we heard some loud noises coming from the warehouse site. It sounded like distant bonfire, but with a faint melody accompanying the blows. So we went after it, and it became clear pretty soon a fanfare was playing there. When we turned around a corner, we were facing a most peculiar sight: a line of around two hundred people, slowly walking in the street, swaying gently on the music. It was fucking loud, and fucking deep. We're going through some tough times at the moment, so it hit hard. We walked next to the fanfare for about an hour, with a bunch of girl/boyfriends of the players until they disbanded around midnight.
As you might have guessed, they were rehearsing for the Semana Santa due next month.
I doubt properly recorded material, or the actual festivities would touch me as much though. It was a very awkward thing, hearing this music late at night, on an abandoned industrial site. Too bad I didn't have the field recorder with me at the time...

Frank's new album has been on repeat for me over the last month.
I've been listening to a lot of space drone/noise too. Also lots of the Blues.

I know this is at the start of the new Darkfloor show, but I think it is an excellent track.

I've actually been hammering a lot of Jane Fitz's mixes.
There is a little techno in there but mainly, it's an amazing mix of lushness, decently prog slowed down, eclectic, acid house business.
I've been getting to work about an hour early and she did some breakfast shows for Rinse. I really enjoyed starting my day with them.
She is unreal. I couldn't have any more respect for her as an amazing music person if I tried. She never disappoints. I've had her sets on for 14 hours in a row and I didn't hear one bad track.

DJ Python's stuff has ticked some boxes for me recently as well. Dulce Compañia is a great album.

This is the big release in synthwave at the moment. Quite impressive, in my opinion--ranges from synth metal to 80s grooves.

An amazing piece of music--very moving. I also love Pat Metheny playing "Electric Counterpoint," which is on the same CD release.Lost to the Void wrote:youtu.be/1E4Bjt_zVJc
