You've only got to buy a "job lot of strictly rhythm records" on ebay to realise there was a lot utter audio bilge back then, too.

There has always been bilge. It was at it's worst in 2000 ish when distribs were pressing just about anything.

What I find even more worrying are those same labels re-emerging a second time around now like they were something special in the first place??
