So I've found a second hand Analog Rytm for €1280 that I was supposed to test tomorrow. I got the number of the buyer and we fixed a meeting for tomorrow. I was ready for it until an hour ago he called me and told me that somebody just offered him €1350 so he had to sell it to him.

Anyways I got pissed, decided to fuck it and go for a new one, since there was no other second hand in Vienna for me test the machine beforehand. Apparently Elektron reduced it's price to €1299 from it's original €1599 value and I've ordered it instantly

No, Digitakt is Elektron entry level. But if someone buys Digitakt and likes the Elektron workflow he might want to go flaghsip as well so the new Analog Rytm price makes sense to me.

Of course there might be another flagship machine later this year, who knows.

That's what I meant with my initial comment. But I don't know the pricing policy of Elektron, and seems like all Analog machines got cheaper, even Heat.

I've called the seller and asked about the price and he told me that I just got the last one before the next order, so that's why it was on sale. I got extra lucky because at first they wanted to send me the one at the testing area, which was a no go for me. But apparently they found a brand new one just before the shipment. (At least so they told me)

Anyways yes the price is back to €1599 and it's not available until a week or so.

Also the guy told me they had another buyer at the next day but also didn't wanna get the used one at the testing area, so they let him pre-order for €1299, I guess they're cool like that.
