Ilian Tape
Re: Ilian Tape
Man, America deserves a big bag of dick for raping dubstep. Shame that so many artists jumped ship.

Mostly the same for me.Mono-xID wrote:I like artists, not labels.collide wrote:Which labels to you especially like Monoxid?Mono-xID wrote:I don't care. Not my cup of beer.
Some labels do consistently push good sounds.
Labels that are same old big name whores are pretty boring.

Boston 168, Amotik, Minimum Syndicat and Albert Van Abbe.
Re: Ilian Tape
On a serious note, I'm sooo out of touch with recent techno that I can't name any artist. Just listening to some podcasts at work.
Really like the deeper sounds of some of these Japanese guys.

Which reminds me of a remix I made for Boston 168, one I'm really pleased with as well. And the record won't see the day of light.zukenbauer wrote:+1 for Boston168Monreal wrote:Boston 168, Amotik, Minimum Syndicat and Albert Van Abbe.
A shame but that happens.
Done reminiscing now, let's move on!

Most of early to mid 90's stuff still puts a smile on my face... Neil Landstrumm, Tobias Schmidt, Jamie Lidell, Cristian Vogel, Portion Reform, Female, Basic Channel, Porter Ricks, Leo Laker, old Surgeon & Regis, Freon, Basic Implant, Steve Bicknell, old Joey Beltram, Planetary Assault System, DJ Slip, old The Advent....list could go on and onzukenbauer wrote:Throw some older names here if you willMono-xID wrote:On a serious note, I'm sooo out of touch with recent techno that I can't name any artist. Recent artist I find consistent: Luke Slater, our dear Mattias Fridell, Function, Christian Wünsch, Inigo Kennedy, Psyk, Iori.

I am so far fucking out of touch with techno, I've never even heard of llian tape!!!!
I stopped paying attention to the 'scene' in about 1999, since then I just go to the odd free party (where the DJs are generally whacked out KET freaks who wouldn't know what the fuck label/artist they were playing-so no point asking)
I am the most closed-minded cunt when it comes to new music. my (techno) vinyl collection contains NO tracks made after 1998.

Would really love to hear a cut from that remix, is it possible to know what track did you remix?Mattias wrote:Which reminds me of a remix I made for Boston 168, one I'm really pleased with as well. Re: Ilian Tape
Were you at least get paid? Also in situations like this are Boston 168 not allowed to release the EP from another label?
