Looking for the most simple/inexpensive way to DJ on Traktor
Looking for the most simple/inexpensive way to DJ on Traktor
Long story short I sold my NI controller and looking for the simplest way to mix. I'll not beatmatch just 2 decks with the 3 band eq no fx.
I was thinking about this but apparently it's sold out:

And I feel like I can find something cheaper than this: (but damn this looks something exactly I want)

I would strongly recommend getting something with pitch faders and platters. I got my s2 for $200cad used.
If you really want the cheapest way, just use a cheap sound card with a cue out and a stereo out. Mix with your trackpad in the software. I played at parties and in clubs like this for years and just used the same soundcard I had for production. Not very fun though.

Thanks for the reply, before that I had S4 MK1. I sold all my stuff and looking for the cheapest and smallest controller for very minimal DJing only to use at my room.
I'm also thinking about getting second hand X1 and map it as a mixer. Like this:

Behringer CMD MM-1 it's very cheap. I don't know about the quality of the controller, but it may work for you.
Personally I would go for a Xone K1/K2. Depending if you need an integrated sound card or not.

The Hercules DJ controllers are small and cheap. I got one that I used for just playing at home a bit as well

I can't find either K1 or K2 in any online stores here in Vienna, which is strange. Are they gonna update it soon or something?

I've got a CMD-MM1, I've had it for around a year now and have found it to be very good for the price. I use it with 2x X1s and an F1. The fact that it has a powered USB hub integrated was a big selling point for me. My only gripe with it is that the default mapping has the bottom row of knobs mapped to filters and it's not easy to find the centre detent on the knobs. This is slightly less of an issue for me as I changed my mapping to use the 4 band eq mixer and used the xone filter effect instead.JoeS wrote:Behringer CMD MM-1 it's very cheap. This has essentially given me a xone 92 (without the send and returns) for less than £100
