I'll recommend you guys to check out the resident advisor's instagram account that he took over (which is where this is from). It's quite obvious then that he's trolling. Most of the time he was running around in a super un-techno pink jacket and drinking Moët with DJ Hvad (and DJ Hvad definitely doesn't seem like the kind of guy living extravagant, when I bump in to him from time to time)... I think he was just taking the piss out on people, but then people got really angry with him, because he posted a video where he was handed a gucci bag in the airport (who knows what was in it), and he began calling people out and trolling (and he also became re-trolled by some users, which he acknowledged). All in all, I think he was just trying to mess with the core RA reader (=the black clothing, eurorack-masturbating kind) - check it out, it was quite funny!
