MOST INNOVATIVE TRACK OF THE CENTURY !!!!!!!

Post by Hades »

WOOOOOOOOOWWWWW

NEVER HEARD Mr. M. PARKER MAKE A TRACK LIKE THIS BEFORE MANNNN

youtu.be/LLnktK4WttA

1. I apologize to the Dutch guy who I told only yesterday you shouldn't just shoot stuff down without offering an alternative. Mike Parker is an exception.
He's just total crap and he's been making the same kind of track for like 6 or 7 years now... It's a disgrace and I can't help but wonder why so many people still want to listen to his crap.

2. I just stumbled upon this while going through my weekly Hard Wax newsletter. I most certainly did not go actively looking for this extremely boring crap.

honestly, I have to give it to the man, every single time I think he can't come up with something even more boring and more repetitive
(not as in hypnotizing repetitive but as in : repeating himself in a very bad way),
he comes up with something I couldn't have dreamed of in my worst nightmares...

Hey man, he's been making the same track for 20 years. Big difference! :)

(I honestly don't get your problem though. As listener/DJ, I like producers that make the same thing over and over. If I want to listen to Mike Parker, I know what i'm getting and I have a lot of small (maybe micro in the case of MP) variations of Mike Parker - I don't have everything he's made and I don't think anyone needs to, but it's nice to have a lot of material to pick from. If I don't want to listen to Mike Parker, I just don't listen to Mike Parker... If you don't like his style at all, you can just skip him without feeling like may be missing out on anything. Easy! I much prefer someone like MP that is honest and consistent in what he does to some trendwhore that switches styles with every EP.)

I dunno, i can respect someone for sticking to his guns. I like a lot of his tracks. I mean, if you like one, you pretty much like them all. That said, i don't think i'd ever buy more than one release of his haha.

I totally agree.
I shouldn't even bother with this.
But it's not consistency, it's utter boredom and constantly the same,
every fucking track,
and this one is the worst I heard ever,
really, it's like a 5 minutes loop.

At least when people switch genres, they show they can actually make something else.
I challenge mr Parker to make any kind of track that is different from that fucking same old boring shit he's been doing forever.
I just don't get how people can listen to his music and not hear how he's constantly repeating himself.

Well, there are a lot of painters that essentially made the same painting over and over again. Same people appreciate the small variations on the same theme and others think it's fucking lame :)

HAIL MIKE PARKER!!

Big fan and always will be. But that doesnt mean every track is good.

Have you ever listened to his music on proper system and proper crowd?

This guy is proper techno (in my humble opinion)

Total deep mind penetration, half the place was on acid. Cio d'or wasn't really mixing straight though, this is her last show before her mental thingy

Yep. Sounded good for about a year of similar releases. 10 years later it is utterly droll. Although he has used a different hi hat once. That's almost progress.

Sometimes I literally think he wakes up, presses a few buttons, hits play and record then goes to sleep for a few hours. Wakes up, chops the recording up into 6 minute segments says "that's this year's releases done, I'm off down the boozer to write some conceptual bollocks about what I did now" and calls it a day\year.

I get it and have those moments as well.

But way day or the other there is always a mike parker track around and when it hits, it hits the spot.

I agree with all you ppl about this thing being really fucking boring, but i give some credit about an artist that dedicate 20 years to his craft, even if it didnt appeal to you or me, hes mastering something there isnt? I did countless recordings based on the same dub chords and pretty sure ill do lots more, some i like, some i hate, obviously i never thought about post or send as a demo all those recordings, i do as an exercise, exploring that shit in and out, i think hes doing the same, dont you? the difference is he has someone whos offering a plattaform to release his experiments...

But its gonna be sad the day when he looks back and see the work of a lifetime or the day he feel the acomplisment, the feeling that he finnaly did it, the most boring track ever! After 30 years or something of research and exercise.
Listening to this one you posted, i think hes almost there! hahahaha

But whos me to say what goal he should pursuit right?

And tbh i like some of his tracks :P
WTF?!

Jesus man, who cares? why the hate?

If you don't like his style, then don't follow his work.
I'm Hilarious

Some professional mastering engineers use multi-band compressors.

I don't see any hate. Such an over used word these days.
Lots of sarcasm, no hate though.

I like some Mike Parker. It's like pizza from your favourite delivery service. It's not innovative by any means but you know what you get AND YOU WANT IT THAT WAY !!!!
