Nah, man. The reality is that entrepreneurs of violence are symbiotic with one another, even though they purport to be on opposite sides. Extremist jihadis feed off of stuff like the Iraq invasion or Russian bombing campaign in Syria. And far-right extremists in Europe and America feed off jihadi terrorism. In this case, you have a guy fired up about Russian atrocities in Aleppo attacking the most powerful symbol of Russia in Turkey. For him, it's not about whether his act will be strategically advantageous for the Syrian rebels, but it's a symbolic act that makes him feel like he's fighting the good fight, and which makes other young angry men feel momentarily powerful.

And besides, Putin doesn't really need any false flags because he's ready to take advantage of whatever circumstances present themselves. Like the good KGB man he is.

you've got to remember that Subsekt is a den(pit?) of far-left technoheads, so you should be dubious about their opinions on politics and current affairs. they are all blind to the fact that syria is really about qatar and bahrain and that putins interests are the same interests as britain. but they must maintain the socially acceptable view that putin is a bad guy because he doesn't want the teletubbies teaching primary school kids about homosexuality (not that there is anything wrong with homosexuality).

while their knowledge on compression and rumble bass is second to none, they hold political views which are formed at 4am while sweating out illicit chemicals and their common goal seems to be to live in some bdsm-unicorn utopia (a dystopia for you and I). you get a more balanced political discussion in the comment section on the guardian website.
