haha, those snaps...
I didn't like it either,
but I guess Shed really likes his old 90's rave references...

Nothing groundbreaking here but good use of a favourite sample from a favourite bizarre Inc record.

It always puts a smile on my face when I think that one of our most famous writers, Hugo Claus, once dated Sylvia Kristel for quite some time.
Legend goes he even talked her into playing the part...
Surely the excellent dialogue was what made him decide it was perfect for his madame...

Sometimes I wonder what a track actually is. During downtime last night I tuned into an old album by ITCHY Whoretits? and Pete Namlook. From Within. I don't really like the album name as it is a little ambiguous at first glance. This aside it is an amazing themed ambient 4 tracked LP, although the theme is so strong from pause to start and pause to start that it rides as what can be described as an aural whole. Well worth a listen if you like true analog and space piano bliss.

corrected that for you.
the vimeo buttons don't work here, though we never figured out why.
but this was a youtube video anyway.
to use the youtube buttons, just leave the part after the "=" sign between the 2 buttons.

seriously, never heard of him before ?
Pedro didn't either, untill last summer,
fucking crying shame,
the guy makes wonderful techno, full of balearic melodies...

this one sounds even better when the pitch is just a little bit higher

and this one is an absolute killer !!
the way that synth line opens up during the song, pfffff....

really, no offence James, but to me that Shive track sounds rather boring compared to Dundovs best tracks.

Those tracks dont compare in my opinion. What I like about shive is the drive and energy and grit. That is what has drawn me in.

The tracks you have posted are nice. But in techno terms they are way to polished imo. That's just my opinion :D

I like to hear some more of his tracks in the shive vein but I suspect they are all old 90's tracks.

no man, not too polished.
they have too much melody.
I can totally understand that you don't like them,
but all this eternal "grit", and distortion/overdrive/bitcrushers/whatever kind of distortion tool they used all over, sometimes I've had enough of all that.
Honestly, there are very very little proper techno tracks with great melodies,
and there are soooooooooo many with all that distorted stuff...
you gotta admit that.

We share a different view on what techno is, should be. I prefer the shive track.

Yep Ill go with shive. Weve had years of gay ass lovely melodies, its nice to have a break and even though I like a lot of dundov, it is a bit... Nice... A lot of the time. Its good to hear him cut loose now and again.

I heard this a few weekends ago when I was just in the right state and in the right setting. It was intense as fuck and completely blew my mind.
