Haven't really listened to any of his output the last 4 years or so (doubt it's as good as he used to be)
one of my favorites :
youtu.be/FMkelHK8Y1E
ow, and btw, I once read a post on discogs saying you should play "Winter" at 33 instead of at 45,
that it makes the track even way better,
and fuck me, the guy was totally right.
If you have it on vinyl, you gotta try it, the track becomes a total trip !

Leaving me was first track i heard from him, fell in love instantly.
I also like his more driving tracks like the one i posted above.
You can check also his collaboration with sebastian mullaert, something you would expect from them, simple but great!

Never heard Morphine. Will check them out.Hades wrote:sounds like Morphine, Mono,

I have to admit that Stoner/Psych/Blues Rock is new territory for me and i don't like much of these bands. My missus turned from Punk/Rockabilly/Psychobilly to a massive Stoner/Psych witch over the years so i use to grab one of their records from time to time. But All Them Witches are fuckin' great. Easily my favourites atm.
Re: What are you listening to?
from their discogs bio :
Fucking died on stage. That's the spirit.
(but I know you're the guy that can appreciate this kind of true artist labour )
I was never a really big fan of their work at the time, just mildly knew them,
but from time to time, it was an excellent antidote from all the grunge we were hearing during our teens.
And the older I get, the more I can appreciate their music.
It's an acquired taste for sure !
It's the kind of stuff you need to hear when you're sitting in some grungy pub (grungy as in semi-dirty, badly lighted, lot's of smoke, can't think of a better word now),
while getting drunk with an old friend.
Sandman basically collapsed on stage, and as far as I remember, it was from serious heroin abuse.During a performance July 3rd, 1999 in Palestrina, Italy, Mark Sandman collapsed during the band's second song. He was pronounced dead in the ambulance en route to the hospital. He was 46.
