Wow. I don't keep up with DnB very much but I've always been impressed by the sound design chops of those guys. The amount of time that goes into one bassline!

That's pretty cool! As an aside, it's interesting how prevalent FL Studio is in the "bass music" world - I've never heard of anyone doing techno with it. I wonder if something about the software is well suited to that style, or it's more a case of certain key figures in the scene use it so that knowledge kind of gets "handed down" and it becomes the de-facto thing to use based on reputation. There was a feature on the new version in Computer Music mag and it does look really powerful with some quite cool niche features - I've played with it years ago but if they had a Mac version I'd certainly try it again, just as an extra source of inspiration...

Roebin Dr Freitas uses it sometimes. Is on that album he did last year. Fucking class.
