The classics is always a good place to raid, suppose it depends what you're after :)

Don't mind if I do. Been looking for this one for a while:

The one that comes in at 19:00, after STL's 'Your Turn'. Have to know whether those weird screams
are part of the track or mixed with it live :D

As a little reminder: don't underestimate the power of Shazam. Used to think like oh it will never find this
obscure techno track.. but it does quite often.

Is that because the tracks are onButtport?

Wouldn't say that's the primary reason, if one at all. But maybe you know more than I do :)

Always worth checking out the Track ID section on Discogs. And tuneID dot com is good too. In many ways, tuneID is better as you can upload small samples to the message rather than using those spyware infested file sharing sites. But yeah, a track ID thread on part of the forum would be cool here. Can I suggest people use soundcloud for the uploads though?

No I was just thinking back to an article I read about Buttport allowing access to their code in a partnership. So thought with them being the global leader for online electronic music, it would explain why so much can be recognised.

Oh yeah, that would make sense. Their database is pretty damn big I think, maybe they cross reference with
whatever's on Spotify too as it always links to the track on there.

Ok here's an old track ID that I've never been able to find, maybe someone here can call it out.

It's from an old DJ Rush set @ 00:29:01, the track with the vocals...

Sorry I know this is some really old shit, but I've always wanted to know what that track was. I always thought maybe something by DJ ESP?

I only recognized the Chevel track at 16 min (and that is also typed out in the tracklist).
Remember that he necessarily dont play the tracks how they are supposed to be, he can just loop a part of the track and add much other tricks to it.

I was also playing in Amsterdam that night by the way, Speedy J was standing in for another guy who got ill. I remember the promoters for the party I played at was a bit worried he would takes like 300 people from their event but we were fine with full venue anyways!

Sorry guys, I don't know any of those posted so far.

Anyone know of this? Been after it forever. It's from Colin Faver's Kiss 100FM techno back in '95 or '96 I think. Annoying thing is, I used to edit out the speaking bits, so he probably ID'd it then! Doh!

Guys, a tip that has helped me, record the stereo out of your computer into cubase when there is a song you want ID'd from a set. Collect a few of em together and mash them up in a quick 15 min mix or so of like 1 min clips. Upload it to mixcloud, use the automatic track ID feature. Sometimes if the tracks sound heavily pitched up pitch them back down, it does work. Have found many IDs cause of it.
