subsekt remix competition ?

had a thought earlier where we could all use the same samples and do a tune,see who's the best or what ideas we can come up with?

only rule is its gotta be finished and in by say like a months time.

has anything been done on this site like this before?

We should definitely do something again. I have an idea for a competition, but its not for doing remixes. Will have to see how it goes.

I've been thinking of a subsekt challenge, where we pick some awful, non-techno track & do a remix of it.. but only a few short bits from it so that people dont basically stick a beat under the loop and LOOP IT. I'm thinking of using the sounds in the loop as a sound source, rather than something that you would necessarily use in the track in its present state.

I'm sure we could make all sorts of sounds out of something pretty basic. Some kind of loop with a beat, some music and a vocal snippet?
